Responsibilities
The Chemistry & Biochemistry Budget Coordinator implements administrative activities and financial functions for E&G funds, Foundation, and Federal and private grants for specific Professors in the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry.
Reviews expenditures to assure adequate funds and appropriate use of grant funds. Maintains electronic database for expenditures and approves Pcard purchases in workday.
Reconciles accounts monthly and reviews account and financial activity status to Principal Investigators to include accurate up-to-date information concerning grant accounts.
Works in collaboration with accounts payable, research accounting, graduate college, foundation, and payroll in day-to-day financial processing.
Prepares pre-award routing and budget sheets for grant submission in Novelution including the coordination and financial accounting responsibility of post-awards.
Interprets policies and procedures of equipment and large purchases for department operational necessity.
