Dr. Lepore reunited with renowned Professor and textbook author Dr. T.W. Graham Solomons during his visit to
FAU in February 2012. Dr. Lepore was a student in Dr. Solomons' Organic Chemistry class in 1990.
Dr. Solomons' dynamic teaching style and love of organic chemistry have had a profound impact on
Dr. Lepore's career as a Professor.
In March 2011, the FAU College of Science named Dr. Lepore as the 2011 Associate Professor Researcher of the Year.
The College's Dean, Dr. Gary Perry, presented a plaque-and-check award to Dr. Lepore.

In recognition of Edith's excellent work on an ammonium-catalyzed cyclization reaction, she was one of five
senior undergraduate finalists in the U.S. invited to present a poster of her work at the annual McKnight Contest
in Chemistry (Texas) in November 2011. Congratulations, Edith!
